The kit enables speech recognition and synthesis, media streaming, smart-home device controls, notifications and thousands of custom skills. The package also provides the “hooks” required to enable Alexa to operate the vehicle’s media players, phone and navigation system.
Amazon says the kit supports Android and QNX operating systems. Several carmakers are already integrating Alexa into their vehicles.
