BMW Names New Boss for Autonomous-Vehicle Development
BMW AG has appointed Alejandro Vukotich as senior vice president of its driver assistance and autonomous-driving development group, effective Jan. 1.

BMW AG has appointed Alejandro Vukotich as senior vice president of its driver assistance and autonomous-driving development group, effective Jan. 1.
He had been vice president of automated driving for Audi AG until April, when he quit after 19 years with the company.
Vukotich will succeed Elmar Frickenstein, a 30-year veteran at BMW who will retire at the end of March. Frickenstein, has headed the department since it was created in 2016. He also ran the unit’s precursor, which was called Electrics, Electronics and Driver Environment .
