Ford Motor Co.’s redesigned Explorer SUV will offer a 12.3-inch digital display cluster with a “Calm Screen” setting that simplifies readouts for drivers.
In addition to reducing driver distraction, Ford says the minimalistic display will help reduce stress by giving drivers a break from the constant stream of information they’re bombarded with from various electronic devices throughout the day.
The all-new 2020 Explorer, which bows this summer, also offers an optional10.1-inch vertically oriented center infotainment display. An 8-inch touchscreen is standard.
