BMW AG and Daimler AG will name their merged car-sharing services “Jurbey,” a source tells Reuters.
The companies agreed last March to merge BMW’s DriveNow and Daimler’s Car2Go businesses, along with a variety of parking, electric-car charging and multi-modal services, into a 50:50 joint venture. The deal has been approved by European Union regulators but awaits antitrust clearance by the U.S.
The two companies operate a combined fleet of some 20,000 cars in 31 cities in China, Europe and North America.
