Report: Hyundai to Partner with Aramco on Hydrogen

Hyundai Motor Co. and the Saudi Arabia Arabian Oil Co. (Aramco) will launch a broad partnership next week to develop hydrogen-based businesses, sources tell The Korea Herald.
The partners expect to sign a memorandum of understanding about their alliance next week when Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman meets Hyundai Vice Chairman Chung Eui-sun in Seoul on June 26-27. The agreement may cover infrastructure, services and products.
The newspaper’s sources say the partnership is likely to include Hyundai’s fuel cell technology. Previous reports note that Saudi Aramco, the world’s largest oil company, is targeting hydrogen as a future business.
Aramco opened its first hydrogen fueling station in Saudi Arabia earlier this week.
