Report: Toyota May Invest $549 Million in DiDi Chuxing
Toyota Motor Corp. is studying a move to invest some 60 billion yen ($549 million) in DiDi Chuxing, China’s largest ride-hailing service.

Toyota Motor Corp. is studying a move to invest some 60 billion yen ($549 million) in DiDi Chuxing, China’s largest ride-hailing service, according to The Nikkei.
The newspaper says Toyota also may launch its own mobility services company in China. Earlier this month Daimler AG and Zhejiang Geely Holding Group, which launched a ride-hailing service in China last October, also formed a company to offer mobility services in China.
Toyota also has made big investments in existing ride-hailing services such as Grab in Singapore and Uber in the U.S.
