Telecommunications giant Sprint Corp. is partnering with the Peachtree Corners business technology park in Georgia to create a proving grounds for vehicle-to-everything communications using 5G technology.

A 1.5-mile test track will be constructed within the 500-acre technology park. Using Sprint’s 5G technology, the complex will be used to test autonomous vehicles, vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-infrastructure communications, HD mapping, micropositioning, edge computing, cloud services and the Internet of Things.

Sprint is recruiting partners to participate in the test program. Located 30 minutes north of the Atlanta airport, Peachtree Corners was formed in 2012 and currently houses some 2,500 businesses.
